Summer Water Park Fun For All The Family The water park “Parque Acuático Vera” or Vera Acquatic Parkis now in full swing with a wide range of attractions. The water park is located on the coast near the town of Vera, perhaps an hour’s drive south of Cartagena and very close to Mojacar. It is the only water park in the area and is apparently great fun. Amongst the things to enjoy are a wave pool, the “black hole”, the “kamikaze”, the adventure river, toboggans, a children’s zone, a huge pool, a “super jumper, mini-golf and a mini-park. There is a self-service cafeteria, bar, cloakrooms, changing rooms and deposit boxes. Visitors are welcome to bring their own picnics, although the park asks that no glass is involved. Children under four get in free, with discounts for those under 12. Special two-day tickets save 50 per cent on the second day and there are group rates and season tickets as well. If you visit after 4.30pm there is a 40 per cent discount on entry. In July and August the park is open from 10.30pm to 7.30pm and in September from 11am to 6pm. Parque Acuático Vera, Ctra.
