Try Some Desert Island Cruising

Small Shops 

At a time when all cities are increasingly looking all the same a surprising number of interesting little shops still add interest to the streets of Cartagena. 

       

The city does have McDonalds, Benetton, Zara, Mango and other large chain operations.  But it’s worth hunting around to find the little shops where personal service is still the order of the day. 

The typography of the signs gives particular pleasure and brings an individualistic touch to retailing that is increasingly bland with themes decided in corporate headquarters far away.
