Try Some Desert Island Cruising

Avoiding Shopping At Parque Mediteraneo 

Sooner or later someone in your life is going to say that “we” need to go to the big new Parque Mediterraneo shopping centre. 

Here’s a tip.  On the way through the industrial estate (see the article under “Girly Things”) look out for the floodlights above what are a couple of football pitches.  There is a café there that is operated by supporters of the Cartagena FC club. The drinks are cheap and there are plenty of good tapas to eat.  

The trick is to drive to the shopping centre and drop the shopper off. Then drive back to the football club café and you can enjoy a couple of quiet hours far away from the endless rows of shelves and tills.  Then all you have to do is drive back to the shops and pick up the person with the bags.
